"Gucci Bamboo Limited-Edition eau de parfum is the original woody floral fragrance, tinted a jewel tone to celebrate the scent’s new chapter."I had this perfume about 3 years ago, it’s a simple yet beautiful refreshing floral perfume, a well balanced ylang-ylang, lily and bergamot perfume, with a slightly sweet and woody dry down that’s reminiscent of bamboo.
In 2015, Gucci released their Bamboo fragrance which featured Wonder Woman herself, Gal Gadot as the face of their new venture. It now comes in an updated limited edition bottle and box. I hadn’t tried the fragrance before so I was excited to see if Gucci Bamboo Limited Edition lived up to the other Gucci scents.
A novelty in the Gucci fragrance collection is Gucci Bamboo Limited Edition, coming out in early 2017 as an "updated" version of the original in new packaging and with the design that "conveys the scent's grace and femininity and captures the poetry and romance that underscores the House's aesthetic." Gucci Bamboo is a subtle, nice fragrance. However, it is one of my favorites precisely because I don't always have to leave the house with a sillage bomb. The opening is beautifully citrusy, followed by a light lily and ylang-ylang. The Gucci bamboo design is a true icon and it’s fantastic to see it translated in to a fragrance bottle. I adore the art deco diamond style cut of the glass which strikes a beautiful contrast with the smoothness of the highly polished silver cap.
With a name like Bamboo, I was expecting a fresh, green or airy, updated balanced oriental fragrance. I was unable to find a tester locally, so I took a chance based on fragrance description and reviews.The modern Gucci woman shares bamboo's characteristics. She balances strength and confidence with her innate femininity and poise. She is sensual yet powerful and commanding.
